Eco house

I am currently eyeing a development near my house. It consists of six three-bedroom eco-homes, being built to meet Level 5 of the Code for Sustainable Homes. This means they will be 100% more energy efficient than standard building regulations.

Ultimately, residents will enjoy greatly reduced energy bills, while the environment will benefit from far lower carbon emissions.

Environmentally-friendly features include ground source heat pumps, which transfer heat from the ground to the building. This will not only heat all the hot water needed, but will also run the homes’ under-floor heating.

Meanwhile, photo voltaic panels on the roof will convert sunlight into electricity, while a rain water harvesting system will provide water for flushing toilets. High levels of insulation and triple-glazed windows will ensure minimum heat loss.

It is as interesting as HDTVand I have one month to withdraw my offer on  this sustainable, energy efficient, healthy home.

Yanu is 3

Happy birthday to my boy. We started the day by opening presents, some of our friends already posted cards which we opened. He got a nice watch and a scooter from us before we took his brothers to nursery school so as to spend the day with him. We spent the day at Drusillas park. http://www.drusillas.co.uk/.
He's having the party this weekend with most of his friends and his grandparent.

Voting Profile

I used the EU profiler to see if I've been backing the right horse in my voting, it turns out Nope! http://www.euprofiler.eu
The annoying thing is that I don't even have a strong enough opinions on some issues; I support solving global warming problems but I don't feel that strong about it when reducing the problems mean increasing unemployment. I have no opinion on euthanasia and I am neutral on immigration despite my struggle to immigrate. I would take the profile again close to the election, and if it stands as it is, then Labour Party here I come.

Oladipo's

Paul and family transited in London so they could spend few days (3 days) with us on their way to Nigeria. I was very happy to see Ronke and Jumoke that i last saw in South Africa like 8 years ago. Teju and Yemi were born in Canada so I got to see them for the first time. We spent yesterday in London with Yanu visiting Buckingham palace, Big Ben and the london eye.

traditional christmas dinner

Whats your traditional Christmas dinner? I mean what does your family eat at Christmas?
As a kid the only thing special for me at Christmas was the clothes, i got to shop for new jeans and shirt. Food was the same as any other day partly because we were not Christians and partly because chicken was everyday meal, festive or no festive.
But for the past 4 years my traditional Christmas meal has been Rabbits, let me remind you that my wife is German and we got married 4 years ago, since I had no Christmas tradition it was obvious we were gonna go for hers and men! rabbit's very tasty.
Romy's parent are around this weekend which means we had Christmas early. I forgot Yanu is now big enough to understand and I kept yabbing 'we are eating Rabbits! My boy asked 'are we eating My Friend rabbit'? (his favourite program on tv) my wife quickly came to my rescue, 'no! not that Rabbit, just rabbit'. She then told me not to talk about it. We had our meal in peace but I kept wondering, we eat chicken all the time, as a matter of fact my Yanu loves chicken, he also love chicken little (he has a blue ray copy) and was never bothered or link the chicken little with chicken that he eats. Why do we think we protect kids by lieing to then. As a kid I had chickens as pets and my mom would ask me to pick any for dinner, and I enjoyed having my chickens for dinner as much as I enjoyed chasing them about.
